My husband and I have recently been thinking about having kids. With that comes dizzying daydreams of the future, half elated and half terrified.

I can’t help but wonder about them. What will they be like? What will they look like? What will they hope and dream about, what will they be afraid of? What kind of world will they inherit? (I think about that one a lot).
